Sietske Goes Global
Bij dit project vraag ik mensen over de hele wereld of ze mijn gezicht in de vorm van een papieren masker willen dragen en een foto willen maken van zichzelf met dat masker terwijl ze voor een toeristische trekpleister staan. Het is mijn versie van de bekende vakantiekiekjes die trots aan het thuisfront getoond worden als bewijsmateriaal van een gelukkige vakantie (zonder daar tijdens de vakantie zelf echt bij stil te hebben gestaan). Daarnaast is het project een handige manier om low-cost&carpool-in-je-broekzak-style de wereld rond te reizen.
With this project I ask people all over the world to take a picture while wearing my mask and standing in front of a tourist hotspot. It's my version of the photographic proof of a happy holiday that people show their friends and family when the're back home. And the project is a fun, easy, low-cost way to 'travel' the world myself.
